“Evening Glow” by Arthur Merric Boyd

This very fine watercolour was one of 34 paintings donated by Claude Hotchin to Collie in 1954. The Boyd surname is famous in Australian cultural life. This artist is known as Arthur Boyd senior (1862 - 1940) and he and his wife Emma Minnie (nee a’Beckett) began the Boyd artistic dynasty which included painters, sculptors, potters, musicians and writers.
