Dear Librarian

In 1998 Carnavon’s Local Studies librarians were excited to receive a package containing this letter and accompanying photographs depicting the construction of a nearby whaling station. Perth man Phil Morgan had found the photographs thrown out with the rubbish of a recently deceased neighbour. Recognising their significance, Morgan rescued the photos and sent them to the Carnarvon Library where they now help document the history of this once-important industry.
