Woman of Contrasts

Carnarvon’s first and, so far, only female shire president Delys Cole painted this depiction of the Carnarvon Courthouse. Cole is known as a woman of contrasts – “creative, yet computer illiterate, sophisticated, yet tomboyish, gracious, yet stubborn, according to one written description. “She would be just as happy cleaning toilets as dining with statesmen”.
