A smuggled race bike

Only 72 of the Gilera Saturno San Rem factory race bikes were produced between 1046 and 1950. This is a 1949 model 500cc pushrod engine with haripin valve springs. It was bought in very poor condition by Kevin Donalian with Bill Lomass, and they smuggled it out of Italy while touring with race bikes.
