This dapper little fellow is the smallest of Australia’s owls and is named the southern boobook owl for its ‘boo-book’ call. If you’re lucky enough to sight one you may be impressed by their dazzling acrobatic skills which are just the shot for snapping up their prey of insects and small mammals.
