The Golden Mile

Step into the desolate landscape of the Goldfields. This is a non-romanticised vision of the mining industry and infrastructure. The brown soil and brown plants, speak of the harsh reality of the Goldfields. The Reward Shaft was located on one of the original ore bodies not far from the Mt Charlotte open cut mine, at the top end of Hannan Street in Kalgoorlie. Pastel on paper.
