Aussie made cooker

The stove with an Aussie pun for a name and a bird logo on the front. Many homes in Australia had the recognisable gas Kooka. Frederick Metters developed the Early Kooka stoves in Adelaide in 1896. The Kooka was designed in enamel cream, and blue, green, grey or brown. The stove was so successful a second factory was set up in Perth in 1896.
