Purveyors of drapes, cloth and hats

Hats made from superior or high-grade fur felt are sometimes labelled ‘sovereign’. The Brennan’s for Boulder Sovereign Hats sign was taken from a tram. Kyra Brennan opened his first store in 1895 in Maritanna Street Kalgoorlie. It was so successful that he encouraged his brothers John, James and Patrick to open other stores. Brennan Brothers opened on Burt Street, Boulder in 1898, and the building is still standing.
