Goldfields Aboriginal Language Centre

Saving Goldfields Aboriginal languages for all of us

The Goldfields Aboriginal Language Centre (GALC) is an Aboriginal research organisation focussed on the recording, linguistic analysis, preservation and use of the Aboriginal languages of the region. Language speakers and linguists work together to create comprehensive recordings of the languages and to archive these for present and future generations. The organisation creates learning resources such as lexical databases and dictionaries to encourage the use of languages. GALC has a retail area with language books, resources, reference material and films, along with a variety of educational resources and art materials.
