Meekatharra Museum

Meeka Museum!

This intimate collection offers a stop-off to enjoy a slice of history in Meekatharra. The collection includes a local archive, well-resourced for family history research, and photographs and information about the early mining history of the area. Rare photographs of Peak Hill, from the early 1900s, depict this once bustling mining settlement, before it eventually became a ghost town. The Museum is located in the Shire Office building and overseen by the local shire staff. They are happy to answer any questions regarding items in the Museum.
