Signed RAAF flag

Lower the flag one last time

A Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Munitions depot, including 40 ‘igloo’ concrete bunkers, was built at Nokaning, 18 kms northwest of Merredin. This is the original RAAF flag which flew at the depot. It was signed by the personnel of Base Squadron Pearce Detachment Nokanning, at the closure of the depot on 10 December 1960. The flag was donated by L. Hubbard, the last Commanding Officer at Nokanning.
