Artwork
Prominent Noongar artist

Bella Kelly (1915-1994) was born near Mt Barker, and lived and worked in Narrogin and throughout the South West and Great Southern regions. Bella’s style was strongly influenced by the Carrolup School of Art, which originated at the Carrolup Native River Settlement - paintings and drawings by Stolen Generations children. Bella’s four children were taken away and sent to Carrolup in 1946. This painting in oil is from the Carole and Peter Taylor Collection.
