York's rates books

Book
Landowners

These are York’s original rates books. They contain information about blocks of land, subdivision of land and home ownership. Rate books are extremely important research resources, and the information can assist with family history research, or for finding out the history of land use. The Centre is currently caretaking the rates books and digitising them for the Shire of York.
