This Bellis and Morcom “V “ Type steam engine and generating set came to Western Australia from Scotland in 1955. It was bought by West Australian State Sawmills and installed in the State Saw Mill No 1 in Pemberton. Saw dust was burnt to produce the steam to power the engine. The Pemberton Saw Mill had its own power house which contained a total of six Bellis and Morcom steam engines.
