Mini

This mini was once the prized ‘wheels’ of Bindoon resident Helen Manning, who donated it to the Bindoon and Districts Historical Society in 2017. Helen and her sisters had learned to drive in the Mini and used it to ferry themselves between home and work on local orchards. On receiving the vehicle, Bindoon and Districts Historical Society volunteers enlisted the Mini Owners Club of WA to restore the vehicle to her resplendent past. While Helen had passed away before the vehicle was restored, her sister Brenda had a test drive of the restored vehicle and is recorded in the local paper as saying: “It’s not as bumpy a ride and the brakes work better than I remember.”
