Bindoon and Districts Historical Society

Farm machinery heaven

Farm machinery enthusiasts will find themselves in heaven among the Bindoon and Districts Historical Society’s collection. A giant, purpose-built shed houses a vast collection of lovingly restored tractors, trucks and other engines. You’ll also find an immense selection of historic household memorabilia and an entire room dedicated to WWII history. Wander to the nearby historic Road Boards building, built in 1927, to view more of the collection of domestic artefacts. Keep an eye out for some of the more lighthearted signs and artefacts - including ‘mum’s ride-on lawn mower’ fashioned from a bicycle. Be sure to read the associated tongue-in-cheek signage for a giggle.
