Dr Len Chester was the first doctor at the Koorda Hospital, between 1932 and 1935. These are the original surgical instruments used by Dr Chester. You will notice that there are also dentistry instruments. Doctors in the early 1900s also performed basic dentistry such as teeth extractions. Dr Chester donated the items to the museum collection.
