AB 1535 diesel locomotive

Vehicle
Green engine

An important part of WA rail history sits quietly on the tracks in the Minnivale wheat bin. The AB 1535 diesel locomotive is a slight modification of the original A class built in the 1960s. There were only six AB 1535 locomotives built and they were used used extensively on the Wheatbelt railway lines. The AB locomotives were originally painted green with a red stripe and V on the front. There are only two AB 1535 locomotives remaining.
