Stars

The Birrongs was a marching group from Pingelly. This uniform would have been worn by the junior division in the 1960s. More information has been sought from the local community about the marching group. Birrong is a word reputed to mean star from an Aboriginal language in New South Wales, however the Nyoongar words for star are 'jindang' or 'djinda'.
