Dingo dreaming: A Paddy Carlton painting

Paddy’s country is Goorbijim - the Bullo River that flows into the great Victoria River, depicted as the central feature of this painting. The hills and water holes of the painting tell the story of a dingo that travelled through, creating the landscape on his journey. A Gadjirrabeng elder, Paddy was one of the founding Waringarri artists and a mentor to several younger artists. Many of his works are in national and international collections. He has held several solo exhibitions nationally.
