Lighthouse keeper’s kitchen

The Carnarvon lighthouse keeper’s cottage was built in 1897 to house the lighthouse keeper and his family. Day and night the keeper would tend to the light, housed atop a wooden structure on a nearby rise. The restored cottage provides a window to another time, particularly in the kitchen which showcases everyday kitchen appliances from yesteryear.
