Beverley Sunset by Danielle Smith

Artwork
Sunset over Beverley

Danielle Smith, a young African American woman from California, USA, was artist in residence at the Station Gallery during December 2013. She had recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts for Painting. Danielle was looking to gain artistic and life experience in Western Australia, and to absorb the influence of Australian culture. During her residency, Danielle had commissions for portraits and landscapes, and held an exhibition of her works on the night of the community Christmas Concert. The oil painting Beverley Sunset was a thank you gift from Danielle to Beverley Station Arts and is now part of the Shire Collection.
