Nhunda - ceremonial dance items

The Yindjibarndi have embarked on a cultural program to reinvigorate all their cultural forms, with a focus on teaching language and ceremony to their young people. These are items of Nhunda ceremonial dress, which include white face masks made of wood worn by men, red headbands and armbands, and jarnjin— shaved wooden decorations that are worn by both men and women.
