Split carriage

Passenger rail services did not operate to some small towns in WA. For locations which did not have the passenger rail service, customers travelled in a dual carriage such as this. This brake carriage, which was attached to freight trains, included two passenger compartments to transport people. There is even a compartment in the undercarriage for your dog. Travelling via rail was the norm before the widespread use of road vehicles.
