Wongan Hills and Districts Museum

A local history archive in an old hospital

Walk through this old converted hospital, which houses an extensive array of local history items. The maze of rooms include themes and include a 'telephone room' with items from the old telegraph exchange, a replica 'settlers hut', a sports room and dining room. The collection delves into the hospital's history with a permanent room, set up like a hospital ward. Out behind the building is a collection of machinery, including a Stuart Tank. The Museum also includes an extensive local history archive, well maintained and catalogued by volunteers. If you think you had family in Wongan Hills or the district, this is the place to start your family history research.
