1939 Mack Truck

Vehicle

This truck arrived in Dwellingup in 1945, having been brought to Australia in 1942 with the United States Air Force. Originally army green, it was painted orange and black when it began its service with the forrestry Department. For 33 years it worked as a fire-fighting vehicle. In its retirement it is still operational and carries Father Christmas in the local Christmas parade.
