City of Kalgoorlie - Boulder Local History Archive

Rich local studies collection

The City of Kalgoorlie Boulder’s Heritage Services Unit has an extensive local history archive. The archive includes microfiche of Western Australian births, deaths and marriages since 1841; local newspapers on microfilm from 1895; rates books from the municipalities of Kalgoorlie and Boulder, and other council historical documents, including photographs of Mayors and Councillors. Items can be accessed by request from the local historians, who also conduct tours of the Town Halls at select times during the week.
